About Ailaysa

Ailaysa is building the infrastructure for global publishing — helping authors and publishers get their books translated, designed, and published for readers in any language, anywhere. We're expanding our creative services division and looking to build a roster of experienced book cover designers to support publishers and authors across genres.

What You'll Do

• Design compelling, market-ready book covers across fiction, nonfiction, literary fiction, genre fiction, business, tech, and children's books
• Collaborate with editors, authors, and our production team to interpret briefs into strong visual concepts
• Adapt designs for print and digital formats (ebook, paperback, hardcover)
• Deliver print-ready files that meet publishing industry specifications
• Work within tight timelines while maintaining design quality and brand consistency

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 20 published book cover titles in your portfolio
• Prior experience designing for established/top publishing houses
• Demonstrated versatility across multiple genres (fiction, nonfiction, literary fiction, genre fiction, business, tech, children's books)
• Strong understanding of typography, print production, and genre-specific design conventions
• Proficiency in industry-standard design tools (Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
• Ability to work independently, take feedback well, and meet deadlines
