We are seeking a competent and motivated Accountant to join our team in Islamabad. The ideal candidate should hold at least a B.Com degree, although those partly qualified in CA, ACCA, or CMA will also be considered. Candidates must have a minimum of two years of relevant experience, preferably gained at a Chartered Accountant firm or in roles involving tax-related matters. A solid understanding of accounting procedures, taxation, and financial record-keeping is essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of Books of Accounts: Manage and maintain accurate books of accounts using QuickBooks accounting software.
• Documentation and Filing: Prepare, scan, print, and properly file accounting vouchers and supporting documents to ensure organized record-keeping.
• Accounting and Tax Records: Maintain comprehensive accounting and tax records in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Bank Reconciliation: Prepare monthly bank reconciliation statements to verify and reconcile bank transactions.
• Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit monthly sales tax returns and quarterly withholding tax statements. Handle the preparation of withholding tax PSIDs and ensure timely payment or deposit of applicable taxes.
• Additional Tasks: Perform any other accounting, taxation, or financial duties as assigned by management to support the organization’s financial operations.

Required Qualifications

• Educational Background: Minimum B.Com degree; candidates partly qualified in CA, ACCA, or CMA will also be considered.
• Experience: At least two years of relevant accounting experience, ideally within a Chartered Accountant firm or in tax-related roles.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software, particularly QuickBooks, and a strong grasp of accounting principles and taxation.
• Knowledge: Good understanding of Pakistan’s taxation laws and compliance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Accounting and Bookkeeping: Strong skills in accounting and bookkeeping to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial record management.
• Communication: Good communication skills to effectively liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Location: Only candidates residing in Islamabad or Rawalpindi are eligible to apply.
