Job Description
Our client, a Leading Global Specialist in Energy Management and Automation, is seeking a skilled Wire Harness Design Engineer to design, develop, and validate electrical wiring harnesses for our equipment applications. The candidate will be responsible for 3D harness routing, BOM creation, drawing release, and coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality and cost-effective designs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop wire harness systems.
- Create 2D/3D harness routing, installation drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
- Prepare BOMs, wire lists, connector selection, and schematic diagrams.
- Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, and supplier teams.
- Support prototype builds, testing, validation, and issue resolution.
- Manage engineering changes and release documentation through PLM systems.
Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/related Engineering discipline.
- 2-4 years of experience in wire harness design and development.
- Proficiency in Creo & AutoCAD tools.
- Good understanding of connectors, wiring standards, harness manufacturing.
- Knowledge of GD&T, and product lifecycle management (PLM) tools.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
