POSITION SUMMARY
The Assistant Manager will work as an independent contributor, owning end-to-end Competitive Intelligence delivery for US-based clients. The role requires working predominantly in EST-aligned hours to support ongoing delivery, client calls, ad-hoc requests, and conference coverage during the US business day.
The individual will liaise directly with clients, manage delivery expectations, and develop client-ready insights and recommendations.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Independently manage CI delivery across competitor monitoring, landscape assessments, conference coverage, and ad-hoc requests
- Work in EST-aligned hours to support US client delivery and time-sensitive requests
- Liaise directly with clients and independently participate in or lead client calls
- Support conference coverage, including pre-conference planning, live/in-conference reporting, and post-conference analysis
- Translate client requirements into clear KITs/KIQs and aligned deliverables
- Develop client-ready reports, presentations, alerts, and competitive landscapes
- Synthesize information into insights, implications, and recommendations
- Leverage relevant databases, research sources, and AI-enabled tools
- Quality-check outputs for accuracy, relevance, and client readiness
- Manage multiple priorities and timelines independently
- Support onboarding and coaching of junior team members as required
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- 5+ years of pharmaceutical/life sciences Competitive Intelligence experience
- Willingness to work predominantly in EST-aligned hours
- Oncology experience is a MUST
- Strong experience managing CI deliverables independently and interacting directly with clients
- Experience in competitor monitoring, conference intelligence, and landscape assessments
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical clinical and commercial dynamics
- Strong analytical, synthesis, and insight-generation skills
- Proficiency with pharmaceutical databases covering clinical, commercial, regulatory data and scientific literature
- Ability to use AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency and deliverable quality
- Strong QC, prioritization, and communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal English
