Bard College Payroll Coordinator Apply Here: Bard College seeks a highly-motivated and detail-oriented Payroll Coordinator to join our team. The Payroll Coordinator will assist payroll and accounting staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial policies and regulations. The Payroll Coordinator's expertise will help in payroll, accounts payable, and cash management, and contribute to the overall efficiency of our accounting operations. About Bard: Bard College's main campus is in Annandale-on-Hudson, N.Y., with 1,900 undergraduate students; the College also includes multiple graduate programs. Responsibilities: Assist with Payroll processing, working with multiple departments to ensure department of labor rules are followed Process and verify all incoming invoices, expense reports, and payment requests with precision, ensuring adherence to company policies and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) Prepare and file federal, state, and local quarterly tax returns Perform detailed account reconciliations, including vendor statements and general ledger accounts, to maintain accurate financial records Enter data accurately into accounting software and maintain meticulous records of all transactions Manage the full cycle of accounts payable activities Collaborate with vendors and internal departments to resolve discrepancies or payment issues promptly and professionally Assist with month-end closing procedures by preparing journal entries related to accounts payable and reconciling related accounts Support audits by providing detailed documentation of transactions and maintaining organized records Qualifications: Proven experience in accounts payable functions Experience filing quarterly payroll returns Strong understanding of accounting concepts such as debits & credits, double-entry bookkeeping, and general ledger reconciliation Proficiency with accounting software Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy Ability to analyze financial data critically and perform account reconciliations efficiently Familiarity with payroll management systems such as ADP and experience in benefits administration Strong organizational skills combined with effective communication abilities to collaborate across departments To Apply: Please provide a cover letter, resume, and the contact information for three professional references to Interfolio by following this link: . Compensation: $22-$28/hour This salary range reflects the College's good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for the position at the time of the job posting.
