• We need a senior software engineer with 10+ years of professional development experience; 15+ years is a plus.
• You should have substantial experience building and supporting production software on Linux.
• We prefer experience with complex distributed, infrastructure, networking, or systems-management products.
• You should be able to investigate issues across multiple layers of a production environment.
• We need experience maintaining and evolving mature software across multiple release cycles.
• Strong hands-on development skills are required in Python, C, and SQL.
• You should have experience with REST APIs, Linux application development and debugging, and multithreaded or asynchronous design.
• PostgreSQL experience is strongly preferred.
• You should understand Linux processes, permissions, filesystems, services, TCP/IP networking, sockets, routes, VLANs, bridges, DNS, DHCP, storage, and lifecycle behavior.
• You need to be comfortable developing and troubleshooting in Kubernetes/k3s environments, with familiarity in tools such as Argo CD.
• A strong networking background is highly desirable, including Ethernet, IPv4/IPv6, routing, subnetting, firewalls, packet analysis, and multi-interface systems.
• We value experience with TLS/SSL, X.509 certificates, SSH keys, secrets management, Kubernetes Secrets and RBAC, authentication and authorization, container security, and supply-chain security.
• Experience with LDAP, RADIUS, or TACACS+ is beneficial.
• You should have experience with PostgreSQL, relational modeling, schema changes, migrations, transactions, backup and restore, and upgrade compatibility.
• Experience with Git, automated builds and testing, CI/CD, container image creation, Helm packaging, unit and integration testing, vulnerability scanning, SBOMs, and artifact signing is expected.
• You must be able to work full time on-site in Richardson, Texas.
• You must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S., as we are unable to sponsor or transfer visas.

• We develop and maintain application components using Python, C, and SQL.
• We add new product capabilities within our existing Kubernetes-based architecture.
• We diagnose and resolve defects in production and customer environments.
• We troubleshoot interactions among applications, Kubernetes, Linux, PostgreSQL, and physical networking equipment.
• We maintain and improve REST APIs and internal service interfaces.
• We strengthen reliability, startup, readiness, shutdown, and failure-handling behavior.
• We build and support PostgreSQL schemas, migrations, backup, and recovery functionality.
• We improve logging, metrics, health checks, diagnostics, and overall supportability.
• We support connected deployments as well as offline or air-gapped customer environments.
• We create automated tests for unit, integration, system, networking, upgrade, and failure scenarios.
• We investigate complex customer issues that span software, operating systems, networking, and infrastructure.
• We contribute to architecture and design decisions while staying actively involved in implementation and debugging.

We are hiring a full-time, on-site Senior Software Engineer for our Richardson, Texas office to help develop, maintain, and extend a distributed software platform used to orchestrate, provision, manage, and monitor data-center and other networking fabrics. Our product runs on Linux and Kubernetes/k3s, and this role is hands-on across application code, Linux, networking, databases, security, and external integrations.
