Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse

As a Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse on a 35-bed telemetry unit, you provide direct patient care with a typical 1:5–1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio. You use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for a diverse adult population, administer medications and treatments, monitor telemetry, and update care plans. You collaborate with physicians and the care team, delegate to LPNs and support staff, maintain accurate EHR documentation, and support quality, safety, and professional practice initiatives.
