3D Animator & Lighting Artist — Product CGI Takila Design | Full-Time | On-site/Studio About Us Takila Design is a boutique creative studio working at the intersection of cinematic craft and commercial production. We create 3D product films, CGI, branding, packaging, and digital campaigns for leading brands across consumer electronics, home & lifestyle. The Role We’re looking for a 3D Animator & Lighting Artist who knows how to make products look exceptional on screen. This is not a modeling-focused role. Our ideal candidate is strong in product animation, camera animation, lighting, composition, and creating visually engaging product shots. You’ll work on products such as smartphones, earbuds, smartwatches, faucets, home appliances and lifestyle products, bringing them to life through movement, camera language and lighting. You’ll work closely with our Creative Director, 3D modelers and other artists to take a concept from storyboard/idea to a polished final render. What You’ll Do •⁠ ⁠Animate products, cameras and product sequences for films, ads and digital campaigns •⁠ ⁠Create engaging product movements, reveals, transitions and hero shots •⁠ ⁠Light products to bring out their form, materials, details and premium finish •⁠ ⁠Develop lighting setups based on the desired mood, visual style and brand language •⁠ ⁠Create cinematic camera movements and compositions •⁠ ⁠Animate products such as smartphones, consumer electronics, faucets, appliances and lifestyle products •⁠ ⁠Work with existing 3D models and prepare them for animation and rendering •⁠ ⁠Use basic fracturing, destruction and simulation techniques when required •⁠ ⁠Build/use Geometry Nodes setups for procedural animation and creative workflows •⁠ ⁠Take creative direction and translate concepts into strong visual execution •⁠ ⁠Collaborate with modelers, animators and the Creative Director to maintain consistency across shots •⁠ ⁠Take ownership of shots from animation and lighting through to final render What We’re Looking For •⁠ ⁠3 years of hands-on experience in Blender or Cinema 4D •⁠ ⁠Strong portfolio/reel demonstrating product animation and lighting •⁠ ⁠Strong understanding of animation principles, timing, movement and camera animation •⁠ ⁠Strong product lighting skills — you should know how to make materials, surfaces and forms look their best •⁠ ⁠Experience creating commercial/product CGI films •⁠ ⁠Ability to work with existing models rather than being primarily focused on modeling •⁠ ⁠Working knowledge of Geometry Nodes •⁠ ⁠Basic knowledge of fracturing/destruction and simulations •⁠ ⁠Basic knowledge of After Effects •⁠ ⁠Good understanding of composition, materials, reflections and rendering Bonus Skills •⁠ ⁠Houdini experience is a strong advantage •⁠ ⁠Experience with procedural animation or simulations •⁠ ⁠Experience with organic animation •⁠ ⁠Experience working on high-end product films or advertising CGI What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone who sees more than just a 3D model.
