Role Overview

The Project Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of Extra High Tension (EHT) power infrastructure projects, including 220kV and 400kV substations, transmission systems, grid interconnections, and utility coordination. The individual shall lead project execution from concept, design, procurement, construction, testing & commissioning through energization and handover.

This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in managing utility-scale EHT infrastructure projects and strong stakeholder engagement with utilities, EPC contractors, OEMs, consultants, and regulatory authorities.

Mandatory Experience Requirements

• Minimum 15 years of experience in power transmission, substations, and EHT infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale utility-connected projects from inception to commissioning.
• Must have successfully executed and commissioned at least one 400kV Substation project in a Project Manager or Lead Project role.
• Project Delivery
• Lead complete lifecycle execution of 220kV/400kV substations and associated transmission infrastructure.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, safety, quality, and stakeholder expectations.
• Develop project execution strategies and risk mitigation plans.
• Review and manage engineering deliverables, including: SLDs, Protection schemes, SCADA/SAS
• architecture, Earthing and lightning protection systems, Relay coordination studies of
• GIS/AIS layouts.

Preferred Experience

• Execution of multiple 220kV/400kV substations.
• Experience with 400kV GIS/AIS substations.
• Experience with utility interfaces such as PGCIL, MSETCL, TANGEDCO/TANTRANSCO, GETCO,
• KPTCL, APTRANSCO, etc.
• Experience in EHV cable systems, LILO schemes, grid connectivity projects, and switching stations.
• Experience supporting hyperscale data centers, industrial parks, renewable energy projects, or large infrastructure developments.
• Monitor manufacturing progress, FAT, SAT, and vendor performance.
• Lead energization activities and final handover.
• Stakeholder Management
• Act as the primary interface with utilities, consultants, EPC contractors, OEMs, and senior management.
• Provide regular project updates, risk assessments, and executive reports.
