Job Description

Position: Staff Nurse Institute: NET’s – Navodaya Medical College Hospital & Research Centre Location: Raichur Karnataka Job Overview We are looking for a caring and responsible Staff Nurse to join our Nursing team. The candidate will be responsible for providing quality nursing care to patients, supporting doctors during treatments and procedures, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. The ideal candidate should have good clinical knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a hospital environment. Key Responsibilities Provide day-to-day nursing care to patients as per hospital standards. Monitor patient condition, vital signs, and recovery progress regularly. Administer medicines, injections, IV fluids, and treatments as prescribed by doctors. Assist doctors during examinations, procedures, and emergency situations. Maintain accurate patient records and nursing documentation. Ensure proper hygiene, cleanliness, and infection control practices in the assigned ward or department. Support patients and their families by explaining basic care instructions and treatment processes. Coordinate with doctors, technicians, and other hospital staff for smooth patient care. Handle medical equipment carefully and report any issues immediately. Attend emergency cases promptly and provide immediate nursing assistance when required. Follow hospital policies, nursing ethics, and patient safety guidelines. Assist in patient admission, transfer, and discharge procedures. Be willing to work in rotational shifts and night duties when required. Qualification Requirements B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institute/university. Valid registration with the Karnataka State Nursing Council (KSNC) or relevant State Nursing Council. Minimum 2–4 years of experience as a Staff Nurse is mandatory . Basic knowledge of medications, IV therapy, and infection control. Skills Required Good communication and interpersonal skills. Caring, patient-friendly, and compassionate attitude. Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment. Basic computer knowledge for maintaining patient records. Strong teamwork and coordination skills. Preferred Experience Candidates with experience in ICU, OT, Emergency, Critical Care departments will be preferred. Salary & Benefits Salary will be provided as per hospital standards and candidate experience.
