About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and patient-focused Optometrist to join our eye care team. The candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive eye examinations, performing diagnostic tests, assisting ophthalmologists, and ensuring a smooth patient experience.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive vision and eye examinations. Perform refraction, subjective & objective, and determine appropriate prescriptions. Conduct tests such as visual acuity, IOP, keratometry, pachymetry, OCT, visual field, and other diagnostic procedures as required. Assist ophthalmologists during patient examination and clinical procedures. Identify and appropriately refer patients with ocular conditions requiring specialist consultation. Provide pre- and post-operative counselling and basic patient education. Maintain accurate patient records and diagnostic reports. Ensure proper handling and maintenance of optometry and diagnostic equipment. Coordinate with the Front Desk, Counselling, OT, and other departments for smooth patient flow. Follow hospital protocols, hygiene standards, and patient-safety guidelines.

Qualifications

B. Optom / Bachelor of Optometry from a recognized institution. Relevant clinical experience preferred; freshers may also apply.

Required Skills

Good communication and interpersonal skills. Basic knowledge of ophthalmic diagnostic equipment. Patient-oriented and professional approach.
