Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Manager to build and run our AP, Travel & Expense (T&E) and corporate card programs from the ground up. This is a builder’s role to start: you’ll migrate, improve or design the processes, select and implement the technology, write the policies, and establish the day-to-day operations that will support the business as it transitions to a standalone company at the start of the year.

Apply fast, check the full description by scrolling below to find out the full requirements for this role.
Once the functions are built, you’ll own and operate them in a steady state, continuously improving them and leading the team that runs them day to day. The ideal candidate is scrappy, comfortable with ambiguity, and energized by building new processes — but equally capable of running a disciplined, well-controlled operation once the dust settles.
What You’ll DoBuild• Build and operate the Accounts Payable department, including invoice processing, approvals, vendor management, payment runs, and month-end close support.• Migrate and improve the existing T&E program end to end, including implementing technology such as Navan, configuring workflows, and driving employee adoption.• Launch the corporate card program, including card issuance, spend controls, policy design, and reconciliation processes.• Draft, roll out, and enforce AP, T&E, and corporate card policies, balancing control with a practical employee experience.• Support the transition to a standalone company, partnering across Finance, IT, HR, and Procurement to establish the systems, controls, and vendor relationships needed on day one.• Configure and optimize AP and expense workflows within Workday, our ERP, and ensure clean integration with T&E and corporate card platforms.• Design scalable processes and documentation (SOPs, controls, approval matrices) that a growing team can operate.
Operate & Scale• Own the ongoing operation of the AP, T&E, and corporate card functions in a steady state, hitting SLAs for invoice processing, payment accuracy, and expense turnaround.• Manage month-end and period-end close activities for AP and T&E, ensuring accruals, reconciliations, and reporting are accurate and on time.• Design, implement, and own internal controls around the AP and T&E business processes.• Recruit, onboard, and lead an offshore team, developing the talent and structure needed to run the functions as the company scales.• Monitor key metrics and drive continuous improvement in process efficiency, controls, compliance, and employee experience over time.• Serve as the long-term owner of AP and T&E operations, partnering with the Director of AP & Partner Revenue Share on reporting, audits, and strategic priorities.
What You’ll Bring• 10+ years of progressive experience in Accounts Payable, T&E, and/or corporate card operations, including time in a leadership or team-building capacity.• Hands-on experience implementing and administering AP and T&E technology (Navan, Concur, Coupa, or similar).• Experience operating within Workday (or a comparable ERP), including AP and expense workflow configuration.• Demonstrated experience building processes, policies, and controls from scratch — ideally in a startup, spin-off, carve-out, or high-growth environment.• Experience building and/or managing offshore or outsourced teams preferred.• Strong understanding of internal controls, segregation of duties, and compliance in the AP process.• A scrappy, roll-up-your-sleeves mindset paired with the discipline to run a steady-state operation; comfortable operating with ambiguity and shifting priorities.• Excellent communication skills and the ability to partner cross-functionally with Finance, IT, HR, and business stakeholders.• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Nice to Have• Experience supporting a Workday implementation or migration.• Familiarity with month-end close and general accounting processes. xzbcwsv • Prior experience in a company undergoing a spin-off, divestiture, or standalone transition.
