Vice President – Total Rewards


Location: India (with global exposure – India, Philippines, USA)

Function: Human Resources

Reports to: Chief People Officer


Role Purpose

The Vice President – Total Rewards will be responsible for building and institutionalizing a scalable, compliant, and data-driven rewards ecosystem for all 3 countries for Knack RCM. This role will drive compensation strategy, benefits, statutory compliance, and reward cycles, ensuring alignment with business growth, productivity metrics, and market competitiveness.


Key Responsibilities

1. Compensation & Benefits Strategy and Design

  • Design, evaluate, and continuously improve pay structures, salary bands, and incentive frameworks aligned to business goals and industry benchmarks.
  • Lead compensation benchmarking through participation in market surveys and external data sources.
  • Build and manage retention strategies including critical talent compensation, variable pay design, and special incentive plans.
  • Drive salary structuring and harmonization across roles, levels, and geographies as the organization scales.
  • Lead job architecture and role levelling – build a career framework design
  • Partner with business leaders to align rewards with productivity, performance, and profitability metrics.


2. Benefits Management

  • Design and manage cost-effective and competitive benefits programs that support employee well-being and retention.
  • Own end-to-end benefits administration, including health insurance, term insurance, enrolments, renewals, and vendor management.
  • Manage employee claims processes in partnership with brokers/insurers, ensuring timely resolution and high employee satisfaction.
  • Develop and administer employee benefits programs related to wellness initiatives, leave benefits, and other employee welfare schemes.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws, tax requirements, statutory benefits, internal policies, audit standards, and data privacy requirements.
  • Continuously evaluate benefits offerings to balance cost optimization with market competitiveness.
  • Act as the first point of contact for employee queries related to payroll, compensation, and benefits, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.


3. Statutory Compliance & Governance

  • Manage end-to-end statutory compliance including ESIC, PF, PT, and other applicable regulations.
  • Oversee UAN generation, filings, contribution management, and employee separation/closure formalities.
  • Coordinate statutory returns, audits, and compliance reporting with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure payroll and compliance processes are documented, audit-ready, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain compliance calendars with zero lapses.


4. Compensation Cycle Management

  • Execute the annual performance and compensation review cycle end-to-end, including:
  • Appraisal governance
  • Increment and bonus modeling
  • Budget tracking and adherence
  • System updates and rollout communication
  • Ensure fairness, consistency, and performance differentiation in compensation decisions.
  • Provide data-driven insights to leadership during compensation reviews.


5. Reporting, Analytics & Governance

  • Support with inputs for Nominations and renumerations committee meetings
  • Generate and analyse compensation dashboards, and compliance records.
  • Generate insights on compensation trends, attrition risks, cost optimization, and incentive effectiveness.
  • Build executive dashboards linking cost to productivity and business outcomes.
  • Ensure all compensation and benefits documentation is accurate and audit-ready.


Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline; master’s degree or MBA is preferred.

• 15+ years of progressive HR experience, with significant experience in compensation, benefits, total rewards and HR analytics. Prior experience in services/BPM/RCM organizations with experience of working with India and Philippines/USA

• Strong understanding of compensation design, salary benchmarking, job evaluation, benefits administration, and incentive plan management.

• Experience working with HRMS, payroll systems, compensation planning tools, survey platforms, and advanced spreadsheet or analytics tools.

• Knowledge of compensation structures and benefits administration

• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills with proficiency in Excel & reporting tools

• Good understanding of labor laws, wage code and compliance requirements

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to interpret market data and translate insights into practical reward recommendations.

• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
