The candidates need agile and waterfall project management experience in addition to scrum master experience.

They need experience reporting with JIRA. There will be a lot of report generation.

They need experience with infrastructure projects.

They need experience with project budgets and executive communication

Looking for more infrastructure. Someone who has evolved into a lead.

Confluence is more important.

Key areas of focus:

Tools: Proficiency with Confluence and Jira is a must. Candidates should be prepared to discuss how they’ve used these tools in past projects.

Certifications: A PMP is not required, but some form of professional certification is expected to demonstrate capability in project management or related areas.

Initiative & Leadership: The team is looking for someone who is proactive, assertive, and can work independently. Candidates should be comfortable taking ownership, leading initiatives, and not needing close supervision.

Reporting & Methodologies: Candidates should be ready to talk about their experience working in both Agile and Waterfall environments, including their ability to report effectively within those frameworks.

Finance Experience Preferred: Hiring Manager said it would be ideal to have the budget/finance experience. Candidates should be prepared to speak to experience. However, it’s not a complete roadblock if the rest of experiences aligns well.

Communication: Candidates should be concise and clear in responses. Stay on topic and structure answers logically. Strong communication skills are essential.

Summary

This is a multi-faceted role serving as an IT Infrastructure Delivery Lead for a component team delivering AWS infrastructure solutions. This is an agile scrum team that will have multiple projects on the portfolio at a given time. This position requires a strong candidate with considerable experience in project management (both Agile and Waterfall) as well as program/portfolio management. The role involves a significant amount of reporting and executive communication. Expertise in JIRA, Confluence, Advanced Excel, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Teams, Powerpoint, and Visio are a must. The candidate must bring the experience and knowledge of portfolio management to be able to setup, manage and drive the delivery of the portfolio independently. The role requires excellent communication and leadership skills. As part of a technical team, this resource needs to be technical and able to translate technical information into reports and executive communication. Infrastructure experience is a plus. Candidate must meet all the requirements below and be able to demonstrate generating reports and building dashboards in the interview. They may be asked to bring a sample of their work. This is an onsite position at Tysons 5 days/week.

· Expertise in Project Management – Agile and Waterfall
