Role Title: Addiction Therapist (Clinical or counselling psychologist)

Samarpan operates India’s only CARF‑accredited rehabilitation center in Mulshi, Pune, along with a mental health counselling center in Mumbai. Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out client assessments and risk assessments.
  • Carry a caseload of six clients
  • Counsel clients about their substance use using recognized theoretical frameworks and the Samarpan treatment model.
  • Facilitate interpersonal group therapy sessions
  • Provide 1:1 therapy
  • Facilitate psycho-educational workshops, relapse prevention skills training, and other group activities.
  • Create and review treatment plans.
  • Produce and update client files and case notes.
  • Liaise with other relevant professionals about clients
  • Facilitate family/couples sessions
  • Attend team meetings
  • Attend clinical supervision, line management reviews and staff support sessions.

Qualifications and Skills:

Required:

  • MA in Psychology OR M.Phil. Clinical Psychology (preferred)
  • Excellent organizational, administrative, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good practice case management including quality record keeping.

Preferred :

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience
  • Understanding of cultural context and expectations.
