Role Description:

The DevOps Engineer role at Xynotech is a full-time, on-site position based in Karāchi. The DevOps Engineer will design, implement, and maintain infrastructure and deployment pipelines that support agile software development across distributed teams. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing Linux-based systems, configuring and optimizing CI pipelines, monitoring system performance, and ensuring reliable application releases. The role also involves collaborating with software developers, QA engineers, and project managers to improve build, test, and deployment workflows, as well as implementing Infrastructure as Code practices for scalable and repeatable environments. The DevOps Engineer will contribute to ongoing automation efforts, enhance security and reliability, and support continuous improvement of tools and processes.

Qualifications:

• Strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC) skills, with experience using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar frameworks.
• Proficiency in Software Development practices, including scripting or programming (e.g., Python, Bash, or other relevant languages).
• Hands‑on experience with Continuous Integration tools and workflows (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms).
• Solid System Administration expertise, including managing servers, networks, and security configurations.
• Advanced Linux skills, with experience administering and troubleshooting Linux-based production environments.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is highly beneficial.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and related DevOps services is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in cross‑functional teams.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain high‑quality standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
