Job Description

Company Description Growit Technologies LLC is a USA-incorporated, women-owned, AI-first technology firm focused on delivering next-generation digital products and enterprise solutions. The company helps clients scale innovation, adopt advanced technologies, and achieve measurable business outcomes. Growit Technologies serves Healthcare, Industrial & Manufacturing, EdTech, and Hitech sectors, providing tailored solutions across these verticals. Team members collaborate in a forward-thinking environment that emphasizes innovation, impact, and continuous learning.

About the opportunity

GrowIt Technologies is hiring an experienced Industrial Engineer to work on MRI machines. The person will design how the product is built, used, serviced, and experienced. You'll be based in India and collaborate closely with the customer's engineering and design teams in Boston, USA.

This is a rare chance to leave your fingerprint on a device that brings advanced imaging directly to patients who need it.

What you'll own

As the Industrial Engineer on this program, you'll drive four areas that define the product's success:

  • Material usage & optimization — Select and optimize materials for a mobile platform where every kilogram matters, balancing weight reduction, structural durability under transport and road vibration, cost, and MR-safe (non-ferromagnetic) requirements near the magnet and bore.
  • Usability & human factors — Design for the people who touch the device every day: patients (comfort, accessibility, anxiety reduction) and technologists (efficient, error-resistant workflows). Translate ergonomic and human-factors principles into the physical product.
  • Serviceability — Engineer for the field. Build in modularity, tool-less access, and field-replaceable units so the system can be maintained quickly within a compact, mobile footprint — minimizing downtime and service cost.
  • Look & feel — Craft an industrial design language that signals clinical quality and reassures patients, aligning aesthetics, finishes, and form with the customer's brand.

You'll also partner across mechanical, electrical, RF/magnet, and regulatory teams, contribute to DFM/DFA, support prototyping and design reviews, and help maintain design documentation within a regulated development process.

What you bring

  • 8+ years of experience in industrial engineering, industrial design, or product/mechanical engineering.
  • Proven experience in the medical device domain — imaging or capital medical equipment strongly preferred.
  • Strong command of materials selection, DFM/DFA, and design for serviceability.
  • Working knowledge of human factors / usability engineering for physical products.
  • Proficiency with CAD (SolidWorks, Creo, or equivalent) and prototyping.
  • Familiarity with regulated product development — ISO 13485, IEC 60601, design controls, and design history files.
  • Excellent communication and the ability to collaborate effectively with a distributed team across India and US (Boston) time zones.

Nice to have

  • Direct experience with MRI, imaging, or large capital medical systems.
  • Exposure to mobile, portable, or ruggedized product design.
  • Familiarity with human-factors standards such as IEC 62366.
