Salary: $130,000 - 150,000 per year Requirements:

• We prefer a bachelors or masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related technical discipline.
• We require 5+ years of experience in applied engineering, technology evaluation, or systems development.
• We look for familiarity with DHS or DOD acquisition processes, including SELC and test planning.
• We need strong analytical, communication, and technical writing skills.
• We require U.S. citizenship at the time of hire.
• This role is contingent on passing a CBP Background Investigation (BI) and a comprehensive government security review.
• We highly prefer an active/full U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) BI.
• Experience collaborating across technical and operational teams in mission-driven environments is preferred.

• We establish project requirements baselines and analyze requirements to identify gaps and cost drivers.
• We decompose high-level functions into lower-level functions and use tools such as functional block diagrams, functional flow diagrams, timelines, and control/data flow diagrams to document requirements.
• We conduct trade studies to support functional allocation of requirements, assess alternative architectures and solution sets, and evaluate cost and performance trade-offs.
• We perform Analysis of Alternatives (AoA), Alternative Analysis (AA), and DOTMLPF assessments to identify solutions that meet client needs.
• We document findings in Functional Requirements Documents, Constraint Evaluation Analysis Reports, Cost Benefits Reports, and Trade Studies Reports.
• We prepare and update Requirements Analysis Reports and related documentation as project details evolve.
• We work with stakeholders to review, refine, and translate operational and user needs into technical requirements for systems supporting border operations.
