Pay: £45,000.00 - £47,000.00 per yearJob SummaryWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CNC Turner to join our manufacturing team. Ideally you will have experience with Star sliding head lathes with Fanuc controls. In this role, you will operate and set up CNC lathes to produce precision components efficiently and accurately. Your mechanical knowledge, hands-on skills, and commitment to quality will drive the success of our production processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machinery and contribute to high-quality manufacturing projects in a dynamic environment.DutiesSet up, program, and operate CNC lathes to produce components according to specificationsInterpret technical drawings, CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files, and engineering instructions to ensure precise machiningConduct routine inspections of tools, tooling, and machine components to maintain optimal performanceUse hand tools and power tools for assembly, adjustments, or minor repairs of machinery and partsMaintain accurate documentation of production runs, machine settings, and quality checksCollaborate with engineering and quality teams to troubleshoot issues and improve machining processesSkillsProficiency in CNC turning operations with experience in programming and setupStrong mechanical knowledge of machine tools, tooling, and manufacturing processesFamiliarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks for interpreting design filesAbility to use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments effectivelyBasic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality control purposesKnowledge of assembly procedures and plastics injection molding processesUnderstanding of safety protocols related to machining environmentsJoin us if you're eager to bring precision engineering skills into a vibrant manufacturing setting!
