About the Company

A well-established Nashville general contractor with a deep, active pipeline of K-12 and commercial work - real stability, not one project and a question mark. Known for a collaborative culture and long-tenured teams who stick around, the firm is growing because the work is here, and is looking to add a seasoned Senior Project Manager to join the team.

Job Description

This is a cradle-to-grave Senior Project Manager role where you own the project from preconstruction through construction and final closeout - making real decisions without being buried under layers of oversight. The current workload is heavily weighted toward K-12 and commercial. The ideal candidate is a self-sufficient leader who can run complex projects independently, drive results, and be a steady point of leadership for the team around them.

Select Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership and accountability for assigned projects, from preconstruction through closeout
  • Own project budgets, schedules, staffing, and financial performance
  • Drive buyout, subcontractor negotiations, and scope development
  • Serve as the primary liaison with owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors
  • Partner with and direct field leadership to keep projects on schedule, on budget, and to quality standards
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues affecting cost, schedule, or quality
  • Mentor and develop Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and field staff

Ideal Candidate

  • 5–10 years of Project Manager experience on K-12, commercial, or similar ground-up projects
  • A proven track record of running projects independently, start to finish
  • Strong command of project financials, scheduling, buyout, and subcontractor management
  • The kind of steady leadership that raises the whole team
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred; strong experience carries equal weight

What's on Offer:

  • Competitive base salary of $140K–$160K, based on experience
  • Bonus program
  • Company vehicle or allowance
  • Company cell phone or allowance
  • Comprehensive health benefits
  • 401K with employer match
  • A deep, active project pipeline offering real long-term stability
  • True project ownership - you lead the project, the budget, and the team
  • A collaborative shop with long-tenured people and a senior seat with room to shape how teams and processes run
