Job description SAP FICO (Techno functional)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP FICO Techno-Functional Consultant with a strong blend of technical expertise and functional knowledge across Finance and Controlling modules. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in SAP implementations, enhancements, and support initiatives, with a primary focus on delivering robust IT solutions rather than core finance operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support SAP FICO implementation, rollout, and enhancement projects
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into detailed functional and technical specifications
• Configure and customize SAP FICO modules including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Month-End Close processes
• Collaborate closely with ABAP and development teams for custom developments, enhancements, reports, interfaces, and issue resolution
• Manage integration points with other SAP modules such as MM, PP, QM, SD etc
• Work on SAP Fiori applications – design inputs, testing, and deployment to enhance user experience and process efficiency
• Participate in testing cycles including unit testing, integration testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Support deployment activities including cutover planning and hypercare
• Provide ongoing production support, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
• Maintain comprehensive system documentation, configuration guides, and technical specifications
• Collaborate effectively with global stakeholders and cross-functional teams across geographies

Required Skills:

• 3–8 years of experience in SAP FICO in a techno-functional capacity with exposure in S4 HANA implementation
• Strong technical understanding of SAP architecture and system landscape
• Proven experience in configuration, debugging, and system enhancements
• Working knowledge of ABAP (debugging level, ability to read and analyze code)
• Experience working in IT services or consulting environments
• Exposure to global delivery models and working with distributed teams across regions
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to manage stakeholders and work in cross-functional environments

Preferred:

• SAP FICO certification (optional but desirable)
