Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob SummaryDesigns, implements, maintains and optimizes industrial processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety in the manufacturing environment to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and high-quality output. Works closely with Maintenance department to ensure equipment is working effectively. Essential Duties/ResponsibilitiesDevelops and improves production processes to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and high-quality outputTests, monitors, and maintains equipment to ensure compliance with safety, quality and production standards
Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including Maintenance, R&D, Quality, and production, to implement process improvementsWorks with Plant Manager to monitor factory output levels and develops / implements continuous improvement initiatives in safety, quality and productivityPartners with Director of Operations related to expense budgeting for the companyWorks closely with various other managers to support improvement initiativesDevelops plans for efficient use of materials and equipmentReviews production costs and helps modify production programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of the divisionDevelops standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintains accurate documentation for compliance and process trackingTrains and mentors staff on new processes, equipment, and best practicesOther duties as assigned Education/Experience/RequirementsBachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; and five (5) or more years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experienceStrong interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to clearly and effectively communicate expectations, results, plans, etcStrong troubleshooting, problem solving, and reporting skillsIntermediate computer skills – experienced in Microsoft Office and ERP systemsAbility to inspire, motivate, and support staff as needed
