Role Description The PYP Spanish Facilitator is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad. The facilitator will design and deliver engaging Spanish language learning experiences for Primary Years Programme students in alignment with IB standards and TSRA’s philosophy of inquiry-based education. Daily responsibilities include planning units of inquiry, developing age-appropriate learning materials, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback that supports language acquisition and holistic development. The facilitator will collaborate closely with homeroom teachers and other specialists to integrate Spanish learning into transdisciplinary units, participate in school events, and contribute to curriculum review and enrichment. The role also involves maintaining a supportive classroom environment, ongoing communication with families, and engaging in professional development as part of TSRA’s learning community.
Qualifications
  • Strong Spanish language proficiency, with the ability to facilitate engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences for primary students.
  • Experience with IB PYP or inquiry-based teaching approaches, including unit planning, formative and summative assessment, and reflective practice.
  • Demonstrated classroom management skills and the ability to create safe, inclusive, and student-centered learning environments.
  • Collaborative mindset, with experience working in multidisciplinary teams and contributing to whole-school initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, colleagues, and families.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Languages, or a related field; formal training in Spanish language teaching or IB programmes is an advantage.
  • Prior experience teaching primary-age learners in an international or progressive school setting is highly desirable.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional learning, cultural sensitivity, and fostering global-mindedness in students.
