Senior Process Technologist | Corby | £40,000Are you a hands-on Process Technologist who enjoys being on the factory floor, solving problems and turning data into real improvements?I'm working with a leading food manufacturer who is looking for a Senior Process Technologist to join their team in Corby.This is a varied role combining process optimisation, factory trials, product quality, innovation and customer interaction - ideal for someone who wants genuine ownership and the opportunity to make a visible impact.What will you be doing?Lead and support factory trials covering new ingredients, recipes, materials and processesUse data and factory observations to improve yield, waste, efficiency and product consistencyAnalyse trial results and make recommendations for process and product improvementsSupport new product development, launches and existing product optimisationWork closely with NPD, Production, Technical, Procurement and suppliersDevelop strong relationships with key customers and attend customer trials/panels and site visitsUnderstand customer requirements and translate these into practical improvements within manufacturingSupport the approval and introduction of alternative materials and suppliersMonitor product quality and recipe performance, balancing quality, consistency and costAct as a technical bridge between the customer, manufacturing sites and internal teamsContribute to a culture of continuous improvement and process excellenceWhat are they looking for, you'll ideally have:Experience within fast-paced food manufacturingStrong knowledge of food manufacturing processes and ingredientsPractical, hands-on experience of factory trials and process improvementA data-driven approach to problem solvingExperience working with waste, yield, efficiency and quality KPIsExcellent communication and influencing skillsConfidence dealing with customers and suppliersA willingness to travel to customer and manufacturing sitesLevel 3 Food Safety - or willingness to achieve this within your first yearA food, science or related degree would be advantageous, but practical experience and technical knowledge are more important than qualifications alone.The personThis is for someone who likes being on the plant, getting stuck into problems and seeing improvements happen.Someone practical, curious and commercially aware.Someone who can analyse the numbers but also understands that sometimes the best answers come from being on the factory floor and talking to the people who run the process.You'll need to be flexible around trials and a 24/7 manufacturing environment, with the ability to build strong relationships across the business and with customers.Location: CorbySalary: Up to £40,000Hours: Monday-Friday, 37.5 hoursIf you're an experienced Process Technologist, Food Technologist, Process Development Technologist or similar and you're looking for a role with genuine responsibility and visibility, I'd be keen to speak with you. #J-18808-Ljbffr
