Senior Software Engineer - LabVIEW Specialist

Salary: $125,000 - 150,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline.
• We require 5+ years of professional experience building applications in LabVIEW.
• We need strong knowledge of data acquisition systems and instrumentation.
• We look for experience with LabVIEW software architectures such as state machines, producer-consumer patterns, and queued message handlers.
• We expect proficiency in debugging and performance tuning.
• We value experience integrating hardware and working with signal processing.
• We need familiarity with version control systems such as Git or SVN.
• Preferred: experience with LabVIEW Real-Time and FPGA modules.
• Preferred: familiarity with NI hardware platforms such as cDAQ, cRIO, and PXI.
• Preferred: knowledge of test automation frameworks and validation systems.
• Preferred: experience working in regulated industries such as aerospace, automotive, energy, or medical devices.
• Preferred: understanding of control systems and feedback loops.
• Preferred: certification such as Certified LabVIEW Developer (CLD) or Certified LabVIEW Architect (CLA).

• We design and develop LabVIEW applications for data acquisition, automation, and control systems.

• We develop and maintain LabVIEW Real-Time and FPGA applications when needed.
• We troubleshoot, debug, and improve existing LabVIEW codebases for performance and reliability.
• We implement communication protocols including TCP/IP, Modbus, OPC, and Serial.
• We collaborate with cross-functional teams, including systems, electrical, and mechanical engineers.
• We create and maintain technical documentation, including functional specifications and user manuals.
• We maintain code quality through version control, testing, and adherence to best practices.
• We support deployment, commissioning, and field troubleshooting of systems.
