Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented cost control professional to support budgeting, expenditure tracking, and financial reporting during a scheduled plant turnaround. This role connects field operations with corporate accounting by ensuring accurate cost visibility, reconciling financial records, analyzing budget variances, and documenting cost performance.The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in cost control or finance, advanced Microsoft Excel skills, and strong organizational abilities.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor turnaround expenditures and provide timely cost visibility throughout planning and execution.Track actual costs against approved budgets and maintain accurate financial records.Reconcile invoices with field-verified data to prepare the final expenditure report.Analyze budget variances and explain differences between projected and actual costs.Identify cost overruns, scope changes, and opportunities for improved cost management.Coordinate with field personnel and accounting teams to validate expenditure information.Maintain cost tracking spreadsheets, financial documentation, and supporting records.Capture cost data and benchmarks to improve budgeting accuracy for future plant turnarounds.Prepare clear financial summaries and reports for management review.Support budgeting accuracy and financial discipline throughout the turnaround process.Required QualificationsAt least 5 years of experience in cost control, financial analysis, budgeting, or a related field.Associate degree or equivalent relevant experience, with at least 5 years of experience required.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables.Proficiency with Google Workspace applications.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.Ability to reconcile financial data and investigate cost discrepancies.Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with field operations and accounting teams.Ability to work on-site in Bayport, Texas.Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting industrial plant turnarounds, shutdowns, or maintenance projects.Familiarity with project cost tracking, invoice reconciliation, and variance analysis.Experience preparing final cost reports and maintaining cost benchmarks.#CostControl #CostAnalyst #FinancialAnalyst #CostAccounting #Budgeting #FinancialReporting #Excel #PlantTurnaround #BayportTX #FinanceJobs
