Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale Data Engineering, Analytics, AI/ML, and Cloud Transformation programs. The ideal candidate will have strong program management expertise, a solid understanding of modern data and AI technologies, and proven experience working with Oil & Gas or Manufacturing organizations.

The role will be responsible for managing end-to-end program delivery across multiple workstreams, including scope, schedule, budget, risks, resources, governance, and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale Data Engineering, Analytics, AI/ML, and Cloud Transformation programs.
• Manage multiple projects/workstreams simultaneously, ensuring delivery within agreed scope, timelines, budget, and quality standards.
• Drive implementation of cloud-based data platforms, data lakes, ETL/ELT pipelines, data governance, analytics, and AI/ML solutions.
• Work closely with business leaders, product owners, domain SMEs, architects, data scientists, and engineering teams to translate business objectives into scalable technology solutions.
• Manage programs leveraging technologies such as AWS, Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, modern data platforms, AI/ML, and automation frameworks.
• Establish and maintain program governance, Agile delivery practices, KPIs, project dashboards, status reporting, and executive communications.
• Proactively identify and manage program risks, dependencies, issues, assumptions, and change requests.
• Manage cross-functional and geographically distributed teams, including internal teams, vendors, system integrators, and consulting partners.
• Ensure adherence to data privacy, security, compliance, regulatory, and industry standards.
• Drive stakeholder engagement and maintain strong relationships with senior leadership and executive sponsors.
• Identify opportunities for AI/ML, predictive analytics, automation, and data-driven solutions to improve operational efficiency and business outcomes.
• Track program financials, resource utilization, budgets, and commercial commitments.
• Ensure successful transition of solutions into production and establish appropriate operational and support processes.
• Measure and communicate business value, ROI, delivery outcomes, and program performance to executive stakeholders.

Domain Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand and address challenges within Oil & Gas domains such as upstream, midstream, and downstream operations, or Manufacturing.
• Translate operational and business requirements into data, analytics, automation, and AI transformation initiatives.
• Understand industry-specific challenges around operational efficiency, asset performance, predictive maintenance, risk management, supply chain, quality, and decision-making.

Required Experience & Skills

• 10+ years of overall IT experience, with at least 5+ years of experience managing Data Engineering, Analytics, AI/ML, or Cloud Transformation programs.
• Proven experience managing large-scale, complex technology programs with multiple workstreams.
• Strong experience in program/project management, governance, financial management, risk management, and stakeholder management.
• Strong understanding of Data Engineering, Cloud, Analytics, AI/ML, Data Lakes, ETL/ELT, and Data Governance.
• Working knowledge of AWS and/or Azure, with exposure to Databricks, Snowflake, and modern data platforms.
• Strong experience managing cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
• Experience working with senior executives, business stakeholders, technology leadership, and external vendors/partners.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and modern software/data delivery practices.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Strong Oil & Gas or Manufacturing domain experience is highly preferred.
• Experience managing multi-million-dollar transformation programs is preferred.

Certifications

• PMP or PRINCE2 certification preferred.
• Agile/Scrum certification preferred.
• Relevant cloud/data/AI certifications will be an added advantage.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Master's degree/MBA in Technology or Business Management is an advantage.
