Central Costs Business Partner

b Overview /b p In this role you will own the Group Cost function, leading end-to-end P L and balance sheet reporting, forecasting, and business partnering. You will develop and mentor a team, act as a key contact for senior stakeholders, and drive process improvements across finance. You will support the annual budgeting cycle and the 5-year strategic plan while providing independent challenge to costs. This role offers impact across a fast-growing, sustainability‑focused organisation. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li Defined Contribution pension scheme /li li Performance bonus /li li Enhanced Maternity pay /li li Cycle to work /li li Electric Car Scheme /li li wellbeing options /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Own end-to-end Group Cost function including P L and balance sheet production /li li Lead and develop a team to deliver high quality performance /li li Build relationships with senior stakeholders across central departments /li li Maintain robust financial models and monthly rolling forecasts /li li Lead annual group costs budgeting process and contribute to the 5-year strategic plan /li li Challenge existing finance processes, reporting, and controls /li li Provide proactive guidance to drive continuous improvement and efficiencies /li li Assist with audits, corporate tax returns and statutory queries /li li Contribute to ad-hoc projects aligned with strategic goals /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Minimum 3 years in a similar finance role /li li Experience in a fast-growing business environment /li li Proven ability to enhance business performance through business partnering /li li Experience leading a finance team /li li Ability to produce board-level quality reporting and analysis /li li Commercial acumen with strong technical accounting skills and high attention to detail /li li Experience interacting across all levels and challenging non-finance stakeholders /li li Qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA accountant or equivalent /li /ul ul li driven and energetic /li li strong communication and relationship-building /li li robust challenge and stakeholder management /li li financial modelling /li li budgeting and forecasting /li li P L and balance sheet management /li /ul
