Role Description

The Estimation and Design Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Faisalabad. The position is responsible for preparing technical and commercial estimates for LV switchgear and control components, including analyzing project requirements, reviewing drawings and specifications, and determining material and labor costs. The role involves designing switchgear and control panel layouts, selecting appropriate components, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and customer specifications. The Estimation and Design Officer collaborates closely with sales, purchasing, and technical teams to support quotations, respond to customer inquiries, and provide technical back-up. Daily activities also include maintaining documentation, updating cost databases, coordinating with suppliers, and contributing to continuous improvement of estimation and design processes.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of LV switchgear, control components, and automation systems, including familiarity with circuit breakers, contactors, relays, and related equipment.
• Experience in estimation and design for electrical or industrial projects, with the ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Proficiency in relevant design and office software (e.g., AutoCAD or similar CAD tools, MS Office), and capability to prepare technical documentation and proposals.
• Solid analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in cost calculations and design work.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with sales, technical, and supplier teams, and to engage professionally with customers.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, on-site environment.
• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field; relevant industry experience in switchgear or industrial automation is highly beneficial.
• Knowledge of quality and safety standards applicable to electrical equipment; familiarity with ISO and CE-related requirements is an advantage.
