We are looking for an empathetic and qualified Clinical Psychologist / Counselling Psychologist who is passionate about addiction recovery, mental health, behavioural change, and helping individuals successfully navigate their journey towards an addiction-free life. Key Responsibilities Conduct one-on-one online counselling sessions with clients dealing with addiction and related behavioural challenges. Assess clients' psychological, emotional, and behavioural patterns associated with addiction. Help clients understand their triggers, cravings, thought patterns, emotional patterns, and addictive behaviours . Use evidence-based approaches such as CBT, behavioural interventions, motivational interviewing, and relapse-prevention techniques . Support clients in developing healthier coping mechanisms and strategies to manage cravings, triggers, and high-risk situations. Help clients build self-awareness, emotional regulation, motivation, discipline, and confidence throughout their recovery journey. Identify behavioural patterns that contribute to addictive behaviours and work with clients to develop healthier alternatives. Provide ongoing psychological support to help clients maintain consistency and reduce the risk of relapse . Monitor client progress and modify interventions based on individual needs. Collaborate with other members of the Unhooked team to ensure a structured and holistic recovery experience . Educate clients on behavioural change, emotional regulation, coping mechanisms, triggers, cravings, and relapse prevention. Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date client/session records. Identify cases requiring additional psychiatric, medical, or specialised psychological intervention and recommend appropriate escalation or referral when required. Requirements Master's degree or higher in Psychology , with specialisation in Clinical Psychology or Counselling Psychology preferred. Registration/licensing as a Clinical Psychologist or Counselling Psychologist is preferred, as applicable. Experience in addiction counselling, behavioural therapy, psychological counselling, mental health, or de-addiction services . Strong understanding of addiction, addictive behaviours, behavioural patterns, and relapse prevention. Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as CBT, motivational interviewing, behavioural therapy, or relapse-prevention techniques . Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong empathy, active listening, and counselling abilities. Ability to build trust and rapport with clients in an online environment. Comfortable conducting confidential counselling sessions remotely. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience working with addiction, substance use, behavioural addiction, or de-addiction programs . Experience supporting clients with relapse prevention and long-term behavioural change . Exposure to areas such as stress management, anxiety, emotional regulation, impulse control, or compulsive behaviours . Experience conducting online counselling sessions. Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary mental health or addiction-recovery team. Strong interest in helping individuals achieve sustainable behavioural change and long-term recovery.
