Position Title : Senior Fundraising Manager Full Time Job: 8 hours a day with flexibility to be available for meetings between 7 PM to 10 PM IST, included in the 40 hour work week and some weekend hours maybe be needed for events Location : Chennai Mode : Hybrid (2 days a week in Nungambakkam office - other days can be remote) Work Experience: 4-8 years experience in Fundraising and CSR Management Salary Range – Rs.50,000 - Rs.65,000 per month (Indian Rupees) (Based on experience) Role Summary We are seeking a results-driven fundraising professional to lead CSR partnerships, donor engagement, grant applications, and corporate volunteering initiatives. The role will be responsible for expanding SSF's funding base, nurturing strategic partnerships, and ensuring exceptional partner stewardship. Key Responsibilities Fundraising & CSR Partnerships Raise funds through CSR programs, Foundations, HNIs, and Individual donors Build and manage a pipeline of prospective corporate partners, as per SSF mission / scholarship policy. Keep the pipeline updated and published to ensure smooth flow of activities like with the CSR engagement lead and Head of Finance Conduct outreach, networking, referrals, and fundraising meetings. (Coordinate with scholarship team on relevant programs to be proposed / discussed) Convert prospects into long-term funding partners. (preference for long term focus on having gold rated CSR patterns who focus on impact program rather than annual CSR budget) Identify and apply for relevant grants and institutional funding opportunities. (to raise funds against our programs, operations, restructuring, impact assessment, etc.) Represent the organization at industry forums, summits, and other platforms to increase brand visibility and develop new donor relationships. Organize and participate in strategic fundraising events aimed at showcasing our work to the donor community. Proposal Development & Negotiation: Craft compelling and tailored proposals, grants, and fundraising applications based on the unique requirements of each donor. Collaborate with internal teams (Program, Finance, and Impact) to create win-win proposals that meet donor expectations while advancing our project goals. Negotiate funding terms and agreements to secure financial support for our programs. Partner Management & Reporting Manage ongoing relationships with CSR and funding partners. (plan in-person meeting, board member meeting, look out for their planned events which might impact scholars, ongoing discussion to understand their want, have some feedback mechanism ) Share monthly impact reports and quarterly utilization certificates coordinating with internal team in clear deadlines Conduct regular partner check-ins and renewal discussions and growth plan Corporate Volunteering & Engagement Develop employee volunteering partnerships with corporates. (Engage with CSR POCs to understand what they need / want for their employees and propose volunteering opportunities) Storytelling & Impact Communication (through Branding team) Ideate with Communications Team on scholar success stories and impact narratives. Ideate case studies, testimonials, and video assets for fundraising and partner engagement. (Share relevant requirements with the person owning the tasks and measure the outcome - discussions initiated, usage of the assets to measure the effectiveness of the work) Operations & Strategy Maintain accurate CRM and fundraising pipeline data. Ensure timely compliance, documentation, and reporting. (MOUs / Donor Records, Monthly Allocation Data) Participate in quarterly fundraising reviews and strategy discussions with Board Key Success Metrics Funds raised against annual targets – Around 150 new scholarships gained annually Partner retention and renewals – 90% to be retained New CSR partners added and converted – Around 4-5 new scholarship CSR Partners Grants submitted and secured – Around 8-10 grants submitted and about 2 grants secured Corporate volunteer participation- Around 300 volunteers secured from CSRs Timely reporting and compliance. Quality and quantity of impact stories and case studies. Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Business, Management, Development Studies, or related field. 4-7 plus years of experience in Fundraising. Comfortable working in fast-paced, dynamic environments, Open to rapid change and able to learn new things quickly. Demonstrates effectiveness influencing individuals and teams without explicit authority. Recognizes complexity and assesses risks and alternatives in light of competing requirements and incomplete knowledge. Own a laptop or system at home with internet connection - Online work / Telephone work etc Work 7 PM to 10 PM every day online (included in the 40 hours per week with occasional weekend hours needed ) 25% travel within India maybe required, and come in weekly 2 times as of now to the Chennai Nungambakkam office Please fill this form for next steps in the recruitment process
