Role Description The Nephrologist will provide remote clinical care focused on the prevention, diagnosis, and management of kidney-related conditions for Mediwheel’s patients. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting teleconsultations, reviewing medical histories, interpreting diagnostic tests, and recommending individualized treatment plans. The role involves overseeing dialysis care plans, advising on hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis protocols, and coordinating transplant-related evaluations and follow-up when needed. The Nephrologist will collaborate with primary care providers, other specialists, and Mediwheel’s wellness teams to integrate kidney health into broader preventive and corporate wellness programs. This is a remote, full-time clinical role requiring consistent availability during scheduled hours, adherence to evidence-based guidelines, and participation in quality improvement and patient education initiatives.
Qualifications

• Strong foundation in clinical Medicine with expertise in internal medicine or related fields.
• Specialized skills in Nephrology , including diagnosis and long-term management of chronic kidney disease and related disorders.
• Hands-on experience with Dialysis therapies, including patient assessment, treatment planning, and ongoing monitoring.
• Proficiency in Hemodialysis management, vascular access care, and complication prevention.
• Knowledge and experience in Transplant medicine, including pre-transplant evaluation, immunosuppression considerations, and post-transplant follow-up.
• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with MD/DM or equivalent specialization in Nephrology; valid medical license to practice in India.
• Experience with telemedicine platforms and electronic health records; comfort with technology-enabled care delivery.
• Excellent clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to explain complex medical information in clear, accessible terms.
