Role Description The Speech Language Pathologist will provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for clients with speech, language, and communication disorders in an on-site setting located in Teynampet. This full-time role involves conducting standardized and informal evaluations, developing individualized therapy plans, and delivering one-on-one and small-group therapy sessions. The Speech Language Pathologist will maintain accurate clinical documentation, track progress, and adjust interventions based on client needs and evidence-based practices. Daily responsibilities include educating and counseling families, collaborating with other professionals when needed, and participating in case reviews and team meetings. The role also includes contributing to program development, maintaining professional ethics and standards of care, and supporting outreach or awareness activities related to speech and language development.

Qualifications

  • Recognized degree or master’s in Speech Language Pathology or Audiology/Speech and Hearing, with appropriate licensure or registration as required by local regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience in assessing and treating speech, language, fluency, and communication disorders across pediatric and/or adult populations.
  • Strong clinical skills in administering standardized tests, interpreting results, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering goal-oriented therapy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams, including the ability to provide clear education and counseling.
  • Solid documentation and organizational skills, including timely record-keeping, progress reporting, and maintenance of confidentiality and professional ethics.
  • Ability to work on-site full time in Mylapore, manage a consistent caseload, and adapt therapy approaches to diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
  • Commitment to ongoing learning, including staying current with evidence-based practices, attending relevant trainings, and participating in clinical supervision or peer review.
  • Experience in early intervention, neurodevelopmental conditions, or school-based services is an added advantage.
