About the RoleWe are looking for a hands-on Shopify Manager who can own the Nutristar Shopify store end-to-end — from development and coding to merchandising, app management, campaigns, CRO, analytics and growth .
This is not a traditional Shopify operations role. We need someone who understands how a Shopify store is built, how it converts, and how to continuously improve it .
You should be comfortable getting into the code when required, configuring and integrating apps, launching campaigns, analysing customer behaviour, improving CTR/CVR, managing merchandising and working closely with marketing and technology teams.
Key Responsibilities1. Shopify Development & Store Management- Own the overall Shopify storefront and continuously improve its functionality, speed and user experience.
- Work with Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Shopify APIs to develop and customise the store.
- Develop and modify Shopify themes, sections, landing pages, components and custom features.
- Manage Shopify 2.0 theme architecture, metafields, metaobjects, templates and dynamic content .
- Troubleshoot technical issues, broken functionality, tracking issues and third-party integrations.
- Coordinate with external developers/agencies when larger development requirements arise.
- Ensure the website remains stable, scalable, mobile-friendly and conversion-focused.
- Evaluate, install, configure and manage Shopify apps based on business requirements.

- Regularly audit installed apps and remove unnecessary apps/scripts affecting website speed.
- Manage APIs, webhooks and app integrations wherever required.
- Identify automation opportunities using Shopify Flow and other Shopify automation tools .
- Own product merchandising across the website.

- Analyse product performance and identify opportunities to improve visibility and sales.
- Ensure products, pricing, inventory, images, descriptions, badges and promotional information are accurate.
- Build merchandising strategies around customer intent, seasonality, campaigns and product margins.
- Independently execute website requirements for sales, promotions and marketing campaigns .
- Create and manage campaign landing pages, collection pages, banners, promotional modules and offer communication.
- Ensure every campaign is correctly implemented across desktop and mobile.
- Work with the marketing team to translate campaign briefs into high-converting website experiences.
- Build campaign-specific merchandising and product journeys.
- Take ownership of improving CTR, conversion rate, AOV, revenue per session and overall ecommerce performance .
- Analyse the complete customer funnel:
- Traffic → Landing Page → Collection → Product Page → Cart → Checkout → Purchase
- Identify friction points and implement solutions.
- Conduct and manage A/B tests for:
- Homepage
- Product pages
- Collection pages
- CTAs
- Banners
- Pricing/offer communication
- Cart
- Upsells
- Navigation
- Search
- Continuously improve website UX based on data rather than assumptions.
- Track and analyse:
- CTR
- CVR
- Bounce rate
- Add-to-cart rate
- Checkout initiation
- Cart abandonment
- AOV
- Revenue/session
- Product-level performance
- Collection performance
- Customer behaviour
- Use GA4, Google Search Console, Shopify Analytics and other analytics tools to identify growth opportunities.
- Create regular website performance reports and actionable insights.
- Connect marketing campaign performance with onsite behaviour and conversions.
- Work closely with the SEO team to maintain and improve organic performance.
- Manage Shopify SEO fundamentals including:
- Meta titles/descriptions
- URLs
- Canonicals
- Structured data
- Internal linking
- Collection architecture
- Redirects
- Indexation
- Identify technical SEO issues affecting rankings or crawling.
- Monitor broken links, redirects, duplicate content and indexing issues.
- Ensure website changes do not negatively impact SEO.
- Maintain a clean and scalable Shopify catalogue.
- Manage product data, variants, attributes, collections, tags, metafields and product taxonomy.
- Build processes for bulk catalogue updates using Excel/Google Sheets, CSV, Shopify tools or APIs .
- Ensure catalogue changes are accurately reflected across website, feeds and marketing channels.
- Continuously identify opportunities to grow Shopify revenue.
- Analyse competitors and leading D2C/ecommerce stores for new ideas.
- Recommend new Shopify features, apps, integrations and technologies.
- Identify opportunities for:
- Higher conversion
- Higher AOV
- Better retention
- Better merchandising
- Better customer experience
- Better campaign performance
- Work closely with Performance Marketing, CRM, Creative, Operations and Management to drive overall ecommerce growth.
Must Have:
- Strong hands-on Shopify experience.
- Good understanding of Liquid, HTML, CSS and JavaScript .
- Experience with Shopify 2.0 and theme customisation.
- Understanding of Shopify APIs and third-party integrations.
- Experience managing Shopify apps and integrations.
- Strong understanding of ecommerce merchandising.
- Strong understanding of CRO and ecommerce funnels.
- Experience with GA4 and Shopify Analytics.
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot website issues.
- Strong commercial understanding of ecommerce metrics.
Good to Have:
- Shopify Plus experience.
- Shopify Flow.

- A/B testing tools.
- Basic understanding of React/Node.js.
- Experience with CRM integrations and marketing automation.
- Experience in D2C, supplements, health & fitness or marketplace businesses .

This is an opportunity to build and scale a high-volume Shopify ecommerce ecosystem rather than simply manage product uploads or routine Shopify operations.
