Together, we’re improving health and improving lives. Labcorp is seeking a field-based Senior Director, Oncology Salesto join our Oncology team supporting the East Division. The ideal candidate will be located in North or South Carolina. Responsibilities: The Senior Director, Oncology Sales, East Division serves as the senior oncology commercial leader across the East region, with responsibility for divisional strategy, growth, business performance, and execution across the full Labcorp Oncology portfolio. This highly visible leadership role is responsible for accelerating commercial growth, strengthening customer partnerships, developing sales leadership talent, and advancing adoption of Labcorp's expanding oncology portfolio. Working closely with leaders across Oncology, Health Systems, Core Diagnostics, National Accounts, Medical Affairs, and Executive Leadership, this role helps shape the future direction of Labcorp Oncology's commercial organization. Division Strategy & Business Performance
- Own divisional revenue, growth, market share, and overall business performance across the Labcorp Oncology portfolio
- Translate enterprise oncology strategy into divisional growth plans, performance objectives, and execution priorities.
- Lead forecasting, pipeline management, territory optimization, and business planning activities.
- Drive achievement of divisional sales, growth, and market penetration objectives.
- Identify growth opportunities and implement strategies that strengthen Labcorp's oncology market position.
- Accelerate adoption of Labcorp's integrated oncology portfolio across oncology practices, health systems, academic medical centers, cancer centers, pathology groups, and enterprise healthcare organizations.
- Position Labcorp as a comprehensive oncology solutions provider across the cancer care continuum.
- Champion strategic initiatives including precision medicine programs, research collaborations, health system partnerships, and EHR integration initiatives.
- Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Operations, Marketing, and Executive Leadership to support portfolio growth and customer engagement.
- Lead, coach, and develop Regional Managers and Oncology Development Executives across the division.
- Drive leadership development, succession planning, performance management, and talent assessment initiatives.
- Foster a culture focused on accountability, ownership, execution, customer success, and operational excellence.
- Lead organizational change initiatives and support continued evolution of the Labcorp Oncology commercial organization.
- Serve as executive sponsor for strategic oncology accounts including health systems, academic medical centers, oncology networks, cancer centers, and pathology organizations.
- Establish executive-level relationships with healthcare leaders and key stakeholders.
- Partner with National Accounts and Key Account Executive Oncology teams to support enterprise account strategies and customer retention initiatives.
- Influence enterprise testing strategies, partnership opportunities, and long-term customer growth plans.
- Partner with Divisional Sales Officers and leaders across Oncology, Health Systems, and Core Diagnostics teams to drive enterprise growth initiatives.
- Align divisional objectives with broader organizational priorities.
- Navigate complex matrixed environments to achieve business objectives and support coordinated commercial execution.
- Mobilize cross-functional resources to address customer opportunities and business challenges.
- High school diploma with 14 or more years of experience in healthcare, diagnostics, biotechnology, genomics, oncology, laboratory services, or life sciences commercial; or Associate degree with 12 or more years of experience in healthcare, diagnostics, biotechnology, genomics, oncology, laboratory services, or life sciences commercial; or Bachelor's degree with 10 or more years experience in healthcare, diagnostics, biotechnology, genomics, oncology, laboratory services, or life sciences commercial; or Master's degree with 8 or more years of experience in healthcare, diagnostics, biotechnology, genomics, oncology, laboratory services, or life sciences commercial.
- 5 or more years of experience in sales leadership with responsibility for leading people leaders, managers, or multi-state commercial sales organizations.
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biology or Chemistry.
- 5 or more years of experience in oncology diagnostics, precision medicine, pathology, genomics, hereditary cancer, molecular diagnostics, or oncology healthcare.
- 5 or more years of experience supporting enterprise healthcare accounts, academic medical centers, cancer centers, or integrated health systems.
- 5 or more years of experience commercializing oncology diagnostics, molecular diagnostics, genomic profiling, hereditary cancer testing, liquid biopsy, biomarker testing, pathology services, or precision medicine solutions.
- 5 or more years of experience utilizing CRM platforms, forecasting tools, and enterprise sales planning methodologies.
- Experience leading geographically dispersed commercial teams across multiple states or regions.
- Experience managing divisional revenue performance, forecasting, sales execution, and pipeline management activities.
- Experience supporting health systems, academic medical centers, integrated delivery networks, oncology practices, pathology groups, or enterprise healthcare accounts.
- Ideal candidate should reside within the Western United States territory
- Ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned region based on business needs.
