As an Emergency Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), you'll work alongside ER veterinarians providing hands-on care for emergency, surgical, hospitalized, and critically ill patients. In Your Day-to-Day, You Will Triage and assist with the stabilization of emergency and critically ill patients. Partner with ER veterinarians on patient assessments, diagnostics, treatments, and emergency procedures. Prepare patients, equipment, and surgical suites for emergency surgical procedures. Administer and monitor anesthesia, recognize changes in patient status, and support safe anesthetic recovery. Assist veterinarians during surgical procedures and provide post-operative nursing care. Monitor hospitalized and critical patients and promptly communicate changes to the medical team. Accurately document treatments, anesthesia monitoring, patient observations, and medical updates. Help maintain efficient patient flow during high-volume emergency shifts. Collaborate with veterinarians, Veterinary Assistants, and support teams to provide exceptional patient care. What You Bring Current California Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license. Minimum of one year of hands-on experience in a fast-paced veterinary hospital environment. Hands-on veterinary anesthesia and anesthetic monitoring experience required. Previous experience assisting veterinarians during surgical procedures required. Strong emergency nursing, patient monitoring, critical-thinking, and technical skills. Ability to recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately. Strong communication, organization, multitasking, and medical documentation skills. Emergency, urgent care, specialty, ICU, or critical care experience highly preferred. Ability to remain calm, adaptable, and team-focused in a fast-paced ER environment.
