Senior Legal Counsel (Commercial) - London / Hybrid

b Overview /b p In this role you will provide commercial and legal support to a well-known London-based charitable trust. You will structure, draft and negotiate a wide range of partnerships, grants and IP/licensing arrangements, while supporting fundraising and governance activities. You will act as a key business partner to fundraising teams and ensure compliance through data protection and policy governance. The role offers a meaningful chance to shape how the charity collaborates with partners and manages complex agreements. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li basic salary circa 75,000 /li li benefits /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Structure, draft and negotiate charitable partnership agreements including commercial contracts, grants, IP licences, and revenue-sharing models /li li Advise on grant agreements and IP ownership/commercialisation, indemnities and funding obligations /li li Support fundraising teams with drafting and negotiating fundraising agreements /li li Act as Company Secretary for the Foundations three subsidiary companies /li li Deputise as data protection lead, provide training and ensure compliance with mandated practices /li li Draft, maintain and update internal guidelines, policies and standard-form documents /li li Attend London offices 2–3 days per week /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Solicitor (qualified in the UK or equivalent Common Law jurisdiction) /li li 5+ years post-qualification experience /li li Experience drafting/reviewing commercial contracts and knowledge of England and Wales law /li li Desirable: experience drafting/reviewing grant agreements /li li Familiarity with charity sector and charity law /li li Some familiarity with health/social care/voluntary sector terminology /li li Some familiarity with financial and grants concepts /li li Candidates requiring sponsorship in the UK are not eligible /li /ul ul li drafting and negotiating commercial contracts /li li grant agreements drafting/review /li li IP ownership and commercialisation /li li data protection concepts /li li fundraising agreements /li /ul
