Salary: $90,000 - 110,000 per year Requirements:

• We want 5–7+ years of hands-on systems engineering experience.
• We require 3+ years working in an MSP environment, supporting multiple client setups at once.
• We expect a strong record of leading client-facing IT projects from scoping through completion.
• We need advanced PowerShell skills, including writing, maintaining, and version-controlling production scripts.
• We require 3+ years of hands-on RMM experience with platforms such as NinjaOne, ConnectWise Automate, Datto RMM, N-able, or similar.
• We want experience with PSA tools such as ConnectWise Manage, Autotask, HaloPSA, or similar, including project and ticket workflows.
• We require Microsoft Graph API experience.
• We need experience using Git or another version control system for scripts.
• We require deep, hands-on Intune experience across multiple tenants, including Autopilot.
• We need proven ability to design, deploy, and troubleshoot Conditional Access policies.
• We require hands-on administration of Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and Defender for Office 365.
• We want strong experience with Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams administration.
• We require email security knowledge, including SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and mail flow troubleshooting.
• We want working knowledge of firewalls, VLANs, VPNs, and Wi-Fi, with UniFi and SonicWall experience preferred.
• We want familiarity with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Hyper-V.
• We need confidence leading client meetings, explaining technical choices to non-technical stakeholders, and giving project updates.
• We expect clear and thorough documentation habits.
• We strongly prefer Intune management experience for macOS and mobile devices.
• We strongly prefer experience with JumpCloud, SSO, and device trust.
• We strongly prefer familiarity with multi-tenant tools such as CIPP, Microsoft 365 Lighthouse, or Inforcer.
• We strongly prefer experience with documentation platforms such as IT Glue or Hudu.
• We strongly prefer certifications such as MD-102, MS-102, SC-300, SC-200, AZ-104, CAPM, PMP, or Google Project Management.
• We require a bachelors degree or equivalent hands-on experience.
• We require English language proficiency.

• We own our RMM platform end to end, including architecture, policies, monitoring, alerting, automated remediation, and patch management.
• We build a library of PowerShell automations for onboarding, offboarding, compliance, reporting, and self-healing endpoints.
• We automate multi-tenant administration using Microsoft Graph, CIPP, or Lighthouse.
• We integrate RMM, PSA, and documentation platforms through APIs to reduce manual work.
• We measure and report the time savings created by our automations.
• We standardize and deploy Intune across client tenants, including Autopilot, ABM/ADE, compliance and configuration profiles, app deployment, update rings, and Windows and macOS management.
• We design, test, and maintain Conditional Access baselines for each tenant.
• We deploy and manage Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365, and Defender for Business, then investigate and remediate threats.
• We own Microsoft 365 security baselines using Secure Score and CIS benchmarks.
• We administer Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams, including email security, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and mail flow.
• We run multiple client projects at the same time, including tenant migrations, Intune rollouts, security hardening, office builds and moves, and cutovers.
• We manage scope, timelines, budgets, and client communication from kickoff through closeout.
• We handle projects in our PSA, including task breakdown, time tracking, and status reporting.
• We assign and direct prep, staging, and follow-up work for service desk technicians.
• We write project plans, runbooks, and closeout documentation.
• We serve as the senior escalation point.
• We coach technicians and create SOPs that help them solve more issues independently.
• We work with our network and security engineers to turn standards into automated workflows.
• We audit our RMM, Intune, and M365 environment across clients, identify the biggest standardization opportunities, and begin delivering improvements quickly.
• We ship major automations and take ownership of client projects early in the ramp-up period.
• We take responsibility for the automation roadmap and Microsoft 365 security standards across the clients we manage.

Our team has deep networking and security expertise, and we are looking for a senior, hands-on engineer to lead automation, Microsoft 365 endpoint security, and project delivery across our client base. We offer a base salary of $90,000 to $110,000 depending on experience, along with health, dental, and vision insurance, HSA, life insurance, paid time off, parental leave, and a retirement plan. This role is based in or around Alameda, CA with some remote flexibility, requires travel to client sites up to 25%, may include occasional after-hours work, and is in person.
