Great Lakes Outreach is a face-to-face outreach company working with nonprofit partners across Greater Milwaukee. Our work happens in person: we introduce our partners' campaigns to members of the public, answer their questions honestly, and help the people who want to get involved complete a supporter or donor sign-up. Not digital campaigns, not admin, not social work. Conversations, in the field, every day.We're hiring a Customer Engagement Exceutive to join that team.
What the days actually look like
You'll be out at assigned campaign locations with your team rather than at a desk, and a typical day involves:Learning the partner campaign well enough to explain it in your own wordsStarting conversations with members of the public and building rapport quicklyAnswering real questions about the cause accuratelyHelping interested supporters complete their sign-up or donor registrationWorking toward clear campaign and acquisition goals alongside colleaguesTaking part in daily training, coaching and feedback
What you'd walk away with
Most people join us without outreach experience. What they build is the ability to hold a useful conversation with a complete stranger, explain something they believe in clearly, handle a no without taking it personally, and see exactly how their conversations connect to a measurable campaign result. Those skills travel.
How it works financially, and where it leads
You'll receive weekly base pay plus performance-based incentives, including commission. Training and mentorship continue beyond your first week, and people who perform consistently are given opportunities to take on more, whether that's coaching newer team members or supporting campaign leadership. Those opportunities are earned on results, not promised on a timeline.
Who tends to do well here?
People who listen as well as they talk, show up reliably, take feedback without flinching, and want goals they can actually measure. Customer service, hospitality, retail, promotions or volunteer outreach experience helps, but no previous industry experience or specific degree is required. xzbcwsv
