Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Execution: Execute daily/weekly production plans aligned with demand; Prioritize orders based on capacity and customer commitments; and Ensure smooth production flow with minimal changeovers
Process Control: Apply polymer & TPU processing knowledge (extrusion, compounding, drying); Maintain stable operating conditions and process repeatability; Ensure consistency across batches and shifts:
Delivery & Quality Ownership : Own OTIF (On-Time-In-Full) delivery performance; Ensure First Time Right (FTR) quality; Reduce rework, deviations, and customer complaints
Operational Efficiency : Drive improvements in OEE, productivity, and efficiency; Minimize downtime, scrap, and variability; Use structured problem-solving techniques
Capability Building : Strengthen shopfloor and engineering capabilities; Develop SOPs and reduce dependency on individuals; Coach teams on disciplined execution
HSE & Compliance : Ensure strict adherence to HSE and ISO standards; Maintain audit readiness and documentation; Promote a strong safety culture
Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with Planning, QA, Maintenance, SCM, and R&D; Resolve operational bottlenecks through coordination
The ideal candidate will have:
At least 10 years of experience in large-scale chemical or polymer manufacturing (PU, MDI/TDI, foam, TIMs, or related).
A proven track record in plant commissioning and operations leadership (e.g., Plant Manager, GM, or Head of Manufacturing).
Expertise in HSE, process safety, and continuous improvement.
Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skills.
The base location for the position is located ~ 400+ kms from Mumbai
