About the Role This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone looking to build experience in a complex and high-profile area of communications, while contributing to one of the organisation's most important priorities - maintaining trust in the research we publish. Support the delivery of high-quality communications highlighting Springer Nature's work on research integrity, ethics and editorial policy Play a key role in supporting proactive communications activity and issues management, with additional focus on India-based initiatives and developments Work closely with Corporate Affairs colleagues, the Research Integrity Group (RIG), editorial teams and regional stakeholders to ensure communications are accurate, timely and aligned Roles Responsibilities : Proactive communications support Support the development and delivery of communications campaigns showcasing Springer Nature's research integrity work globally and in India Draft content including blogs, press materials, social media posts and internal communications Help identify relevant stories, case studies and opportunities to highlight regional initiatives and partnerships Support events, campaigns and thought leadership activity, particularly those involving India-based stakeholders Issues management support Support the monitoring and assessment of research integrity-related issues Draft responses to media enquiries and stakeholder queries Help coordinate input from relevant stakeholders (RIG, editorial, legal, regional teams) Maintain trackers and support reporting on issues and emerging risks Stakeholder coordination Work collaboratively with teams across Corporate Affairs, editorial, RIG and regional offices Support coordination of communications across global and regional stakeholders Ensure materials are consistent with agreed messaging and accurately reflect complex topics Operational and administrative support Support media relations activity, including background research, media list development and pitching support Maintain communications trackers, coverage reports and project documentation Support planning and delivery of communications activity, ensuring deadlines are met Assist with evaluation and reporting on communications performance Skills and experience Essential Experience or strong interest in communications, PR or corporate affairs Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively Desirable Interest in research, science, publishing or ethics-related topics Experience of media monitoring, reporting or content creation Familiarity with the Indian media landscape or stakeholder environment Personal attributes Curious, proactive and keen to learn Organised and reliable, with a strong sense of ownership Comfortable working in a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environment Able to understand and communicate complex topics in a clear and accessible way At Springer Nature, our mission is to be part of progress - and that begins with inclusion: of people, perspectives, and ideas.
