Job Summary:
Chapel Hill, North Carolina The organization is seeking a Clinical Nurse specialized in Medical Surgical Floor care. This role involves providing competent nursing care aligned with professional standards within a hospital setting. The Clinical Nurse will coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Job Details:

• Schedule: day shifts; 12-hour shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited school of Nursing; Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC); at least 1 year of nursing experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited school of Nursing.
• Additional Information: The role encompasses patient assessment, care planning, patient education, discharge planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Candidates will perform bedside point of care testing and utilize healthcare standards, policies, and procedures in delivering safe, quality care. The position demands cultural competence, effective communication, task prioritization, and participation in performance improvement activities.
