The Junior Accountant will support day-to-day accounting operations, including maintaining ledgers, posting journal entries, and assisting with accounts payable and receivable. Responsibilities include preparing basic financial reports, reconciling bank statements, and supporting tax and compliance documentation under the guidance of senior accountants. The role also involves organizing financial records, updating accounting systems, and responding to internal and client queries related to accounts. The Junior Accountant will collaborate with the team to ensure timely, accurate financial information and may assist in preparing documentation for audits and management reviews. Qualifications Candidates should possess foundational accounting knowledge, including understanding of double-entry bookkeeping, financial statements, and basic tax concepts. Candidates should possess skills in using accounting software and office tools (e.g., Excel, spreadsheets, and data entry systems). Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and the ability to maintain organized financial records. Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with colleagues and respond to client or internal queries. Candidates should possess problem-solving abilities and a willingness to learn from experienced professionals and adapt to new processes. Relevant diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field is preferred. Prior internship or entry-level experience in accounting or bookkeeping is an advantage but not mandatory.
