Stax Living is hiring a Senior Furniture Designer (Technical & Engineering) in Mumbai.
We are looking for a seasoned expert to bridge the gap between sophisticated creative visions and production-ready reality. If you excel at transforming complex design concepts into precise, high-end manufactured products, this leadership role is for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Ownership: Translate high-end design sketches into flawless 2D/3D CAD packages and detailed Bills of Materials (BOM).
- Master the Craft: Engineer advanced wooden frames, luxury suspension systems, foam density profiles, and meticulous upholstery tailoring.
- Bridge to Production: Oversee prototyping on the factory floor, troubleshooting structural and ergonomic challenges before mass manufacturing.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of experience in technical furniture design, specifically within luxury upholstery or high-end manufacturing.
- Advanced mastery of CAD/3D modeling software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Rhino).
- Deep structural knowledge of materials, joinery, fabric allowances, and production tolerances.
