NYC MEP Engineering Firm | Lead Mechanical Engineer
A well-established MEP engineering firm in NYC is looking for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to take the lead on complex building projects and help mentor a growing mechanical team.
What Youll Do:
- Lead mechanical HVAC design for commercial, institutional, residential, and/or high-rise projects
- Manage projects from concept through construction administration
- Coordinate closely with electrical, plumbing, fire protection, architectural, and structural teams
- Perform load calculations, equipment selection, system design, and technical reviews
- Oversee junior engineers and designers
- Interface with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders
- Help drive project schedules, budgets, and overall quality
What Theyre Looking For:
- 8+ years of mechanical engineering experience
- PE preferred
- Strong HVAC/building systems design experience
- Proficiency with Revit and/or AutoCAD
- Experience leading projects and mentoring engineers
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- NYC project experience is a plus
