Creative Writing Facilitator

Location: Remote (India based) Organisation: The Book Baker (STRR Consulting LLP) About The Organisation: At The Book Baker , we empower children to imagine, write and publish their own picture books. Our programs focus on creativity, storytelling, confidence and self-expression. About the Role We are looking for a creative, energetic, and engaging Creative Writing Facilitator to lead online writing sessions for children, plan programs, and handle admin tasks. The ideal candidate should be able to spark ideas, encourage original thinking and guide children from brainstorming to completed stories—while keeping sessions interactive, fun and highly personalised. The candidate should be a highly skilled writer with an interest in children's literature. Key Responsibilities Conduct engaging and personalised online creative writing and storytelling sessions for children Teach fundamentals such as character, setting, plot, dialogue and story structure, as well as more advanced topics in creative writing like genre and perspective. Use prompts, games, visualisation and creative exercises to encourage imagination. Help children brainstorm, structure and refine their own stories without taking over their creative voice. Provide thoughtful, age-appropriate feedback and personalised mentorship. Adapt sessions to different personalities, abilities and learning styles. Contribute to lesson plans, worksheets, activities and new program development. Support routine program administration, student coordination and parent communication. Assist with school collaborations and business development initiatives when required. Skills & Qualifications Strong creative writing and storytelling skills. Excellent spoken and written English. Confidence and enthusiasm while working with children. Ability to improvise, think on your feet and keep sessions interactive. Patient, empathetic and encouraging teaching style. Good organisation and basic administrative skills. Adaptable and flexible nature to contribute to tasks Ability to work independently in a remote environment. Prior experience with children is preferred. A background in creative writing, literature, education, theatre, visual arts or storytelling is an advantage.
