Travel RN - GI/Endoscopy

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for an Endoscopy unit requiring GI and Pulmonology endoscopy experience or strong PACU background, with a TX or compact RN license.

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• 1 year of recent experience in Endoscopy required, including both GI and Pulmonology procedures
• Candidates without Endoscopy experience must have solid PACU experience
• PACU experience preferred
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
• One professional reference required

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based Endoscopy unit with 4 procedure rooms
• Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, and 2 Endo Techs; night shift is on-call with 1 RN and 1 Tech
• Patient ratios of 1:1 for procedures and 1:2 in PACU
• Performs EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, bronchoscopy, ION Robot bronch, and EGD with ultrasound
• Uses Meditech EMR
• Shift runs 6:45 AM to 3:30 PM
• On-call required 1-2 days per week and 1 weekend per month
• Floating required to PACU and Pre-op
• Outgoing, team-oriented personality preferred
• Royal blue scrub attire required
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
• First-time travelers may be considered if they meet experience requirements
