K&M partners with contractors and property owners to deliver reliable, long-term solutions that keep projects protected and on schedule.Position OverviewK&M Waterproofing is hiring a Construction Laborer to support experienced crews on commercial job sites. This is a hands-on role assisting with waterproofing installation, concrete preparation, material placement, and general site labor. Candidates should have prior construction site experience and be comfortable working with tools, materials, and crews in an active jobsite environment. General knowledge of waterproofing methods and tools is desired but a good work ethic and willingness to learn will go a long way.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with installation of commercial waterproofing systems including membranes, coatings, and sealantsDemonstrate safe working habits and a constant focus on task-specific safetyPrepare surfaces by cleaning, grinding, and scraping concreteSupport concrete work such as patching, forming assistance, and staging materialsLoad, unload, and move materials throughout the job siteWork from ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts when assisting crews (aerial lift training and certification will be provided, if necessary)Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areasOperate basic hand and power tools as directedFollow direction from foremen and adhere to job site safety proceduresMust-Have QualificationsPrior experience working on active construction job sitesGeneral construction labor or trade support experienceAbility to perform the physical duties of the job, including lifting up to 50 lbsWillingness to obtain OSHA 10 certification if not already completedComfortable working from ladders, scaffolding, or aerial lifts (training provided if needed)Reliable transportation to job sitesStrong attendance and work ethicPreferred ExperienceExposure to waterproofing, concrete, masonry, or roofing workExperience assisting skilled trades on commercial projectsFamiliarity with construction tools and materialsOpportunityThis role provides exposure to commercial waterproofing and concrete work, with the opportunity to develop specialized skills and advance into higher-level trade or crew roles over time.LocationKansas City and surrounding project sitesEmployment TypeFull-timePayStarting pay is based on experience ($20-$25/hr) with advancements based on attendance, skill progression, and ability to demonstrate a constant increase in knowledge base Equal Opportunity Employer
