Role Description:

The TGT Science Teacher will deliver engaging science lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum, with a focus on middle and secondary school learners.

Responsibilities include planning and preparing lesson plans, conducting classroom teaching for science subjects (with emphasis on Physics and related areas), assigning and assessing student work, and maintaining accurate academic records.

The teacher will provide individual support where needed, manage classroom discipline, and create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.

The role also involves participating in school events, examinations, staff meetings, and professional development activities. This is a full-time, on-site role based at Kothari International School, Panvel.

Qualifications

• Recognized as a Qualified Teacher with relevant degrees (B.Sc./M.Sc. in Science and B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification).

• Prior experience teaching in CBSE or similar curricula is preferred.

• Strong foundation in Science Education, with the ability to teach core concepts clearly and effectively.
• Subject expertise in Physics and Mathematics appropriate for middle and secondary school levels.

• Demonstrated ability in structured Lesson Planning, including creating learning objectives, activities, and assessments.

• Effective classroom management, student engagement, and communication skills.

• Experience with activity-based and inquiry-driven teaching methodologies.

• Comfort with basic educational technology and digital tools for teaching and assessment.

• Commitment to holistic student development, ethical behavior, and collaborative work with colleagues and parents.
