Child Welfare Services Case Manager Supervisor

, reporting to a Child Welfare Services Administrator. Serve as job expert or organization resource in assigned areas
Access and record client and community resource information
Coordinate and monitor children in out-of-home placements and in-home interventions
Develop case plans that effectively utilize community resources to meet needs of individual custodial client
Identify placement resources for children within the foster care system
Initiate the legal process for guardianship, protective services, placement and/or adoption
Make immediate assessments regarding safety of clients and respond according to established protocol and policies
Work in collaboration with legal system to ensure safety and achieve desired outcomes
Note:

Behavioral Science degrees include but are not limited to the following: social science, psychology, sociology, child development, family studies, criminal justice, education, public health, public administration, nursing.
*Case Management experience would include one or any combination of the following work responsibilities: assessments; work with child safety or child welfare; law enforcement experience in areas related to DFCS (e.g. family/domestic violence, investigations or interventions involving children, substance abuse or crimes against persons.
Must have reliable transportation, proof of auto insurance, a valid state-issued driver’s license, an acceptable driving history record and the ability to travel statewide. Reliable transportation and valid drivers license for work-related travel.
